Artist in Residence Reception

Wild Basin was honored to host wildlife artist and Wild Basin neighbor, Andrea Wolf, as our first Artist in Resident this spring. Andrea is instrumental in creating an Artist in Residence program at Wild Basin. She was inspired by the National Parks Service Arts in the Parks program that provides artists the opportunity to create works of art in natural inspirational settings. During her residency, Andrea painted at the preserve weekly through March- June and conducted two events open to the public. She spent most of her time painting on the Wild Basin deck and interacting with visitors and school groups.

We celebrated the conclusion of her wonderfully successful Artist in Residency with a reception on July 7th. Andrea's wildlife paintings produced during her residency, as well as additional works, were on display. The artist's work focuses on contemporary portraits of regional wildlife.
