Andrea is a work-study intern in the Teacher Education program at St. Edward's University. She is native to Austin and is in her last semester before student teaching. During this time she is working with third grade and training to thru hike the Appalachian Trail after graduation. She loves being in the cool outdoors with her two German Shepherds who enjoy camping and kayaking with her. This Fall she will be helping with the Wild Basin Newsletter, social media content, trail maintenance, and school tours. So far, her favorite task is trail maintenance; it keeps her active everyday, gives her time to learn about the native plants at the preserve, and allows her to scope out any new changes in wildlife.
