Marissa Zamora recently graduated from UT Austin with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and is interning this summer at Wild Basin, determining the presence of the invasive crazy tawny ant at the Preserve. She is very interested in birds, insects, and wildlife in general, and hopes to pursue a career in wildlife biology, ecology, ornithology, or conservation. Graduate school may be her next step but she plans to take some time off to study for the GRE, learn some new birds, and possibly do some traveling. Her top choice for travel is Costa Rica because it’s a biological hot spot, and she'd love to visit and/or engage in conservation work. In her free time she loves to hike, bird, read, and listen to music.
