Wild Basin had the privilege of celebrating our Fall Artist in Residence, Heidi Lowell, on January 20th. Inspired by traditional realism’s focus on geometric planes, Heidi combines 3-D modeling and watercolors to celebrate the flora and fauna at Wild Basin, bringing attention to the importance of caring for our wild spaces. Heidi's artwork produced during her residency as well as additional works, were on display.
During her Fall residency, Heidi painted weekly at the Preserve, taught a Georgia O'Keefe themed children's workshop, and shared her artistic process in an adult focused class.
We are excited to announce that Heidi's residency will continue through the Spring and can't wait to see what she'll produce next. Any guesses?!
