AISD Wildlife Watch Workshop

Wild Basin

We had an awesome group of AISD teachers attend a workshop for the "Austin Wildlife Watch" project! Wild Basin and AISD are partnering as part of a larger collaboration to monitor and improve urban wildlife. High school science classes will visit Austin green spaces and classify animals photographed by motion-triggered cameras on a citizen science interactive website. Students will learn about field research, wildlife monitoring, and the network of wildlife habitats found throughout Austin. A special thanks to John Barr for leading the guided hike.
