Intern Spotlight: Aya Sharif

"I don't own No's but I create my Yes" - Aya Abdulqader

Major: Environmental Science and Policy with a concentration in Sociology.

Future Plans: Aya would like to continue to work in the field of preservation and parks. She enjoys doing outdoors activities and exploring the beauty of nature and various species. Aya is a senior at St. Edwards and graduates in May 2018. She would like to continue her observations and research at Wild Basin in that time.

Current Internship: This summer Aya has been working on trail patrol services and monitoring species on the game cameras for Wild Basin. She also worked on a project to inform people on the differences between parks and preserves to keep the wildlife species. In addition, she helped with the butterfly garden which was her first experience in this field. Furthermore, Aya is working on the new app that we'll be launching to identify different plants at Wild Basin.

Things I love at Wild Basin: I love the environment and the staff they're so helpful, they guided me in every step and motivated me to keep working hard.
