One of our Hook Scholars, Jackie Ortuno, has been busy setting traps to catch mosquitoes and analyze species diversity across different site types. Jackie is also a McNair Scholar at St. Edward’s University and is planning to pursue graduate studies in anthropology and public health to study social vectors of disease.
